Hand Therapy of Delaware, Delaware’s first hand rehabilitation facility exclusively treating hand and arm problems, is now a division of MX Physical Therapy. In an effort to continue to offer the most extensive and complete care for patients in Delaware, our services are offered in three clinics: Wilmington, Bear, and Rehoboth. Our therapists provide services for the full spectrum of hand and arm injuries and disabilities from sprains and strains to massive trauma. All therapy is provided by certified hand therapists. We offer comprehensive evaluation and treatment of shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand problems to prevent or minimize dysfunction as well as restore strength, mobility and dexterity. We work closely with the patient’s referring physician, insurance carrier, rehabilitation counselor and, when applicable, employer to insure a co-coordinated program to maximize the patient’s return of function within the shortest treatment period.
Hand Therapy of Delaware programs include:
•Custom made static and dynamic splinting •Post trauma care / therapy for nerve, tendon and multiple tissue hand/arm trauma •Arthritis management for decreasing pain while increasing motion and function •Post fracture, sprain and strain care to regain strength and motion while decreasing pain •Overuse/cumulative trauma programs for tendonitis, nerve compression (carpal tunnel or cubital tunnel) including work related and sport related problems. •Ergonomic assessments •Shoulder tendonitis, impingements, rotator cuff and related injuries •Elbow injury including fracture rehabilitation, tendonitis including tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow and cubital tunnel syndrome
